Aurora

Aurora Aksnes (born June 15 1995, from Stavanger) is an Norwegian artist and vocalist. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15, 2015, it received a raving review from music blogs as well as from the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are among her most well-known recordings. Katy Perry posted a video where she was announcing her endorsement of Runaway. It earned her some recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is finding an old grand piano hidden in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for fun or for the sake of growing, but that she must pursue it. The Aksnes family inspired her to write. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an appreciation for the style of Bjork. After her mother said that the songs she wrote were not meant to be famous for her, rather to help individuals to recognize the importance of their work and influence to the world, she started performing them publicly. When she was six She began playing the piano. At age nine, she began writing her own songs. The fact that she was a musician wasn't known to her family members until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her dream. Her sole passion is to compose music. For her, the songs she creates are how she feels about any thing.
